How to heal from physical illness

Today I feel called to talk about physical illness and the keys to healing. The first key is to know and embrace that everything we see, feel, hear, taste and touch are vibrations; never anything concrete or solid. Our bodies and physical objects appear to be solid, but there is quite a bit of space in between cells and the cells themselves are constantly vibrating. Thus, there is nothing static in this world and there is no static state of being. Our bodies are constantly changing: old cells die off and new ones are created. When it comes to illness, the same also applies: the illness itself is constantly changing, but it may appear as static and that's where the real problem arises.

When we view a physical illness/disease as static or concrete this communicates to our cells that we want this disease to stay. When we view it as part of the natural flux of life in which our bodies/cells are constantly changing and adapting then this communicates to our cells that it's okay to heal. One of the most fundamental aspects of our physical bodies is that our cells want to thrive--they want to be in their optimal, highest vibrational state. The only time when this is not the case is when our beliefs do not coincide with this optimal state. Thus, believing that a disease is static prevents one's cells from moving back into their healthiest state. So the first and most important key to healing is to view the illness/disease you're experiencing as being in a state of flux. Think of it as your compromised cells flowing down a river instead of getting stuck/stagnant on branches and other debris. When we think of it this way then any lessons that are good to learn from the illness will come to the surface so that you can sort them out, learn from them and move on. Oftentimes physical illness is a manifestation of mental/emotional weight that is trapped in the body, so viewing the illness as free-flowing will help dislodge this weight so that you can heal/feel whole again.

Another important key is to listen to your body as closely as you can. This key often takes patience, diligence and a sense of compassion towards one's body. Meditation is the best tool for this as is other mind-body activities like yoga, tai chi, swimming, and walking barefoot in nature. Paying attention to your bodily needs and desires is an art form and is often subtle in nature. Thus, a regular routine of checking in (like a daily meditation practice) will help strengthen this connection and make it easier to tune in at will. The better able you are to listen to what your body needs, the easier it will be to take care of your body and nurture it more often than not. This will help prevent disease as well as help clear any diseased cells from your body.

Lastly, where does medicine, doctors and various healing modalities fit in to all this? Well, the more you tune in to what your body needs and view illness/disease as fluctuating rather than static, the more you will become aware of what type of medicine or healing treatment is needed. At the very least, you will be able to know what is NOT needed due to naturally being more in tune with your intuition through your mind-body connection. Approaching health and wellness from a playful, easygoing mindset is the last key I feel called to mention--if you are too serious about it or you are feeling weighed down by heavy emotions then this will make it very difficult for you to heal and feel whole again.
